As Renewable Energy Policy Advisor, Ben works to expand penetration of distributed clean energy resources throughout New York City. In particular, he promotes policies and programs that make cleaner energy and transportation modes accessible to more of New York’s residents, with particular focus on distributed solar energy and electric vehicles. Ben represents the Mayor’s Office in the New York City Solar Partnership, which runs the Solarize NYC program for limited-time group purchasing campaigns of solar photovoltaic technology. Prior to joining the City of New York, he was Energy Law & Policy Fellow at NYU School of Law. Ben holds Masters degrees in Public Policy and Energy & Resources from UC-Berkeley and a Bachelors degree from Brown University.
