Márcia Pereira, mom of two little girls, energy saver addict, and renewables enthusiast, CEO and Co-Founder of Bandora, which empowers autonomous buildings with Artificial Intelligence, recently with a presence in the USA.
She is a PhD candidate with a MIT Portugal Program focusing on Sustainable Energy Systems and an e-learner of the Data Science Program from Harvard.
Márcia has a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Thermodynamics, from the University of Lisbon. She started her work in the Portuguese Energy Agency, where she performed energy efficiency projects in commercial, residential and industrial buildings and deployed the European Energy Performance for Buildings Directive.
She has also been involved in renewable energy projects including: 1MW Concentrated Solar Photovoltaic Plant partnered with Suncore US; 4kW Hydropower Plant, connected to the public grid; and 40kW Solar Photovoltaic stand-alone Plant in Mozambique, to supply a maternity clinic and local radio.
