Laurie is the Program Director for Green Communities at Enterprise Community Partners, Inc.'s New York Office. She oversees and coordinates the market office's efforts to green all affordable housing by 2020 and map out the pathway to healthy, resilient, low-energy housing by 2050. She encourages wide array of stakeholder input in program design and implementation of project work and is committed to supporting community and agency relationships related to green building standard setting, advocacy for resilient communities, and implementation of Enterprise Green Communities Criteria.
Laurie has spent over a decade supporting the development of healthy and resilient communities by promoting innovation in building practice, supporting advocacy around conservation and efficiency, and developing public policy that builds municipal capacity to support green building. She has worked with a range of stakeholders including public agencies, educational institutions, and community based organizations. She is a frequent guest lecturer on green building and resilience.
Laurie holds an undergraduate degree in Political Science from Smith College and Master’s in Urban Planning degree from Hunter College.
