Laurie Kerr, FAIA, is the Director for Policy for the Urban Green Council and a leader in green building and urban sustainability policy. Under Mayor Bloomberg, she was responsible for developing New York City’s signature green building and energy efficiency policies, and for mainstreaming those strategies in ten American cities as the Founding Director of the City Energy Project. She is now advising New York on how to achieve 80% carbon reductions by 2050. She is a licensed architect with degrees in engineering, physics and architecture from Yale, Cornell, and Harvard respectively.
