Prior to co-founding 127 Energy, Ken was President & CEO of Princeton Power Systems, Inc. (PPS), a leader in multi-port, bi-directional inverters, controls and integrated energy storage systems across a broad range of battery technologies. Work by PPS included islandable grid-tied and off-grid micro-grid systems deployed globally, including U.S. National Park sites, Africa, and private islands owned by high net worth individuals.
Before entering the energy storage space, Ken had a decade of renewable energy experience including thin film, organic and crystalline silicon photovoltaics firms as well as BIPV applications. Leading up to his current focus on security of energy supply and environmental stewardship, Ken had leadership roles in the semiconductor, optical communications and power electronics industries, including five years as Managing Director starting up new businesses while resident in China and Japan. He has extensive international experience, having done business in more than 35 countries.
Ken holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Bucknell University and an MBA in Marketing/Finance from the University of Richmond.
