Kelly Dougherty develops and implements long-term efficiency strategies for properties managed by FirstService Residential with the goal of reducing energy use, emissions, and costs. She works with industry leaders and government agencies to keep the company’s clients informed on the latest technologies, regulatory requirements, and incentive programs. She also develops seminars for FirstService Residential property managers and building staff to educate them on best practices for operating their buildings in an efficient manner.
Dougherty has over 12 years of facilities support, HVAC system operation, energy efficiency retrofits, and project management expertise which she amassed during previous roles at Air Ideal Inc. and Insight Civil Engineering. She earned an M.S. in Sustainability Management from Columbia University’s Earth Institute with a focus on corporate sustainability strategies, infrastructure resiliency development, and energy reduction planning. She also holds a B.S. in Management & Labor Relations from Rutgers University.
