Karen joined Vermont Energy Investment Corporation in 2014 as a residential energy consultant with the goal of helping homeowners, builders and architects create comfortable, durable, low energy homes that optimize building performance. A licensed architect, certified Passive House consultant and PHIUS+ Rater, Karen has over 20 years of experience in the field of architecture and low environmental impact building design and construction.
Karen earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Carnegie Mellon University and spent a year of her studies as an exchange student at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne. Karen's knowledge of high-performance design and experience working closely with numerous contractors has been key to the success of many residential and commercial projects in New England. Karen is currently serving as secretary of Vermont Passive House.
