Julie is Vice President for Design and Building Performance and assists POAH in the acquisition process guiding the building investigation, developing the scope of work needed and reviewing cost estimates for the work. She facilitates the engagement of the project team (architect engineer, etc.) for rehabilitation of acquisitions, refinanced existing properties in the portfolio (including the implementation of Energy Efficiency programs) and for new construction overseeing design development, and construction, integrating green and sustainable design.
A CPHC and LEED-certified architect with an undergraduate degree in environmental design, she has worked as an owner’s project manager, construction manager, architect and Executive Director of the Texas Historical Foundation.
A graduate in Environmental Design from Texas A&M University, Julie received her Master of Architecture degree, with Certification in Historic Preservation, from the University of Texas at Austin. She has completed special studies in Art and Architecture in Florence, Italy and in Preservation/Restoration in Sebastopol, Crimea.
