John is a Certified Energy Manager with more than 25 years of experience with municipal, state, and federal energy projects. John takes the lead on consulting engagements that help community-based housing organizations, federal facilities, schools, and state and local governments to develop and implement effective strategies for utility cost control. Recent projects include:
Supporting the City of Salem, Massachusetts, as an Owner’s Agent to develop an RFQ for performance contracting solicitation.
Supporting the Boston Housing Authority and the Lawrence Housing Authority as an Owner’s Agent in various matters related to performance contract development.
Providing onsite technical support, analysis, and reports for affordable housing energy plan initiatives for seven NeighborWorks America members in Massachusetts, New York, Maryland, Ohio, and Arizona.
Prior to joining Peregrine in 1999, John spent 15 years at Citizens Conservation Corporation, an energy services company that used performance contracting to develop projects in public and affordable housing. In addition to his work at Peregrine, John chairs the Green Technology Committee for his hometown of Lincoln, MA. In that role he deals firsthand with the challenges that energy poses for municipal officials. John has a B.A. in history from The Colorado College.
