Jeffrey Mirel is a Principal of Rosenblum Development Corporation, one of the largest fully integrated real estate development and management companies in the Capital Region of New York. Rosenblum’s real estate portfolio comprises over 1.7 million square feet of award-winning office, industrial, self-storage (ValuSpace) and mixed-use multifamily properties as well as the company’s own flexible workplace brands, Hone Coworks and Launchbox Flexible Warehouse Suites. Mr. Mirel spearheads the company’s new development projects, environmental sustainability, communications and community engagement.

Mr. Mirel is also the founder and former board president of Albany Barn, Inc. He led the non-profit’s successful efforts to establish a community incubator for creative industry called “The Barn” by partnering with the Albany Housing Authority to repurpose a long-vacant 1906 school building in the City of Albany’s Arbor Hill neighborhood. The Barn consists of 22 affordable live-work apartments and 14,000+ square feet of low cost studio, exhibition, performance and program spaces. Albany Barn subsequently opened two more makerspaces in Schenectady, NY: Electric City Barn and Artistry Studios.

Mr. Mirel is currently board chair of Discover Albany (Albany County Convention and Visitors Bureau). He also serves on the Capital Region Economic Development Council (CREDC), the boards of Russell Sage College and the Central Avenue Business Improvement District, and the Government Affairs Committee of the Capital Region Chamber. Mr Mirel is a Jefferson Award for Public Service medalist and has been recognized in City & State's “Albany 40 Under 40” and the Albany Business Review's "Power 50," as well as its “40 Under 40." He is a graduate of Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business (cum laude).
