Jane is an architect and Certified Passive House Designer specializing in historic preservation and adaptive reuse. At Jan Hird Pokorny Associates, she was project architect for restoration of the Brooklyn Historical Society and a new building at the 79th St Maintenance Facility in Central Park. She had her own firm for 15 years where she completed 3 EnerPHit certified Passive House retrofits of 19th century rowhouses. SInce joining Henson Architecture in 2019, her focus has been both Passive House retrofits and phased retrofits of larger buildings for Local Law 97 compliance.
