Ilene has been working in the field of sustainability for over 25 years in various positions focusing on energy, solid waste and communications. She started Rethinking Power Management in 2009 with a vision of reducing the impacts of climate change by helping commercial clients turn an interest in energy conservation and sustainability into realities. Primary sectors served include affordable housing companies, municipalities, state agencies, hospitals, schools and commercial entities. Ilene chairs the DOE’s Multifamily Steering Committee for the Better Buildings Challenge and the non-profit Decarbonize Existing Buildings Alliance. She holds a B.S. in Metallurgical Engineering from Lehigh University and an MBA from F.W. Olin School of Business at Babson College.
