Gus Dunn-Hindle is a researcher and organizer working with Passive to Positive. He researches business and financial models, organizational structures, and socio-economic conditions in Baltimore to advance community-led housing development. His work focuses on the economic conditions that determine the success of housing projects for the communities that use them. He is currently working with Passive to Positive to develop an economically democratic model of community development that builds wealth and equality by centering networks of cooperatively owned businesses around high-performance affordable housing construction and renovation.
Gus graduated from Ithaca College with a B.A. in Environmental Studies, and from Cornell University with a Master's degree in Global Development. His academic research focused on worker-owned businesses as a tool of development. His coursework brought together building and energy science, systems thinking, political economy, sociology, and policy studies. In his free time, he is likely found reading or training for his upcoming triathlon.
