David Ruggiero is the Energy Manager for the City of Providence, RI. He has over 20 years of experience in the high performance building industry working as a licensed Massachusetts Construction Supervisor, a LEED Accredited Professional, a certified HERS rater, and as a consultant with a focus on energy-efficiency and renewable energy. His involvement in cutting edge green building projects and programs ranges from ENERGY STAR to zero energy homes to Passive House. Presently, as the Energy Manager for the City of Providence Mr. Ruggiero oversees all energy efficiency, renewable and distributed generation programs for the City. He is also the chair of the Norwood, MA Sustainability Commission. Mr. Ruggiero holds a B.S. from Northeastern University and is an AEE Certified Energy Auditor.
