Dan Arons is an accomplished architect, planner, and building technologist with more than 25 years of experience on award-winning academic, commercial, and civic projects concentrated in New England. As a leading advocate for high performance, sustainable buildings and campuses, Dan's portfolio includes many first-of-a-kind projects including Zero Net Energy, Energy Plus, and LEED-certified projects at the Platinum and Gold levels. A recognized sustainable design leader, Dan has taught graduate level sustainable building design at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, was an original member of the U.S. Green Building Council's Education Committee, a long-time co-chair of the Boston Society of Architect's Committee on the Environment, and founder of the BSA's Committee for the Advancement of Sustainability.
