Christopher Bland is a Program Coordinator and Asthma Educator at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. More specifically he coordinates the Region 2 Pediatric Environmental Health Specialty Unit, a US Environmental Protection Agency and Centers for Disease Control (CDC) program that provides environmental health services to communities in New Jersey, New York, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands. He also serves as the Clinical and Finance Coordinator for the New York State DOH funded New York State Children’s Environmental Health Centers, the first state-wide, publicly funded model for children’s environmental health clinical services in the United States. NYSCHECK sites are located across New York State, in which Mount Sinai serves as the coordinating center. Christopher’s primary role is coordinating the center’s telehealth medicine program for pediatric asthma patients. His expertise lies in evaluation, statistical analysis, and epidemiological research methods.
