Developing Scalable Pathways for Home Decarbonization
Sponsored by Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) ● For years, Massachusetts has run nation-leading energy efficiency programs with a well-honed formula for a home energy assessment. With its Decarbonization Pathways pilot, MassCEC is seeking to reimagine what a home visit with an energy advisor should look like when the end goal is decarbonization. Since last summer, MassCEC has worked with Abode Energy Management to develop protocols, recommendations, and a customized plan template for a home decarbonization assessment. This spring, MassCEC plans to work with an initial cohort of participants to begin testing the proposed approach to a home decarbonization assessment, using a new software tool: Zero Energy Retrofit Optimization (“ZERO”) created by Zero, a Massachusetts-based start-up. At this session, come get an overview and share your feedback on the proposed approach to a home decarbonization assessment, including the customized plan that will be created for each pilot participant.
