Eric Zimmerman is the Founder and CEO of responsible travel company TripZero (www.tripzero.events). As an event planning company, TripZero provides hotels and meeting space for event organizers ranging from buttoned-down finance conferences to reggae festivals. Then–at no cost to the event organizer–TripZero erases the carbon footprint created by attendee travel. They accomplish this with the purchase of Certified Carbon Offsets which fund renewable energy and reforestation projects that remove CO2e from our atmosphere. As a Certified B Corp, TripZero joins a global community of companies using business as a force for good that includes leaders like Patagonia, Dannone, Ben & Jerry’s and Athleta.
Eric lives with his family in Carlisle, Massachusetts where he and his wife Abigail recently completed a deep-energy renovation to their home. The effort reduced the energy required for heating and cooling by almost 70%. Then, the addition of a 16kW solar system enabled the building to achieve a carbon-positive rating. Eric holds a Bachelor’s degree from Cornell University.
