Fred Unger has been involved with NESEA since 1979. He served on the board for six years and chaired the BuildingEnergy conference in 2003. He has worked as a builder and real estate developer. He cofounded an early remote monitoring company for the renewable energy industry with two NESEA friends. He managed the development and permitting of a 3.3 MW wind project. For the last ten years, he has managed project development for a financial institution that owns and operates over 80 commercial and megawatt scale solar energy systems with more in development. He also provides owners representative and development consulting services for other clean energy project investors.
