Jenna Agins currently serves as the Energy & Sustainability Specialist for NYU Langone Health where she manages the organization’s environmental sustainability program. Jenna sets the program’s strategic direction and leads projects to reduce the health system’s environmental footprint across a full real estate portfolio of more than 150 locations and reach its 50% GHG reduction goal by 2025. She also works to build a culture of sustainability among the more than 28,000 employees within the organization through robust engagement and communications. She helps NYU Langone pursue sustainable design, energy best practices, healthy interior choices and recycling and waste reduction and wrote the health system’s first sustainable design guidelines. In addition, she coordinates the NYU Langone’s participation in various local and national energy and environmental programs and represents the organization in case studies, presentations, markets-based groups and round tables to raise external awareness of NYU Langone's sustainability program and support national movement towards sustainable healthcare.
Jenna is a graduate of the dual degree MBA and Masters in Science program at the University of Michigan where she focused on healthcare sustainability strategy, operations and behavior change. Prior to graduate school, she spent four years working at a boutique financial services public relations firm helping finance companies navigate communications during the financial crisis. Jenna received her BA in English from Washington University in St. Louis.
