Terry Brennan, building scientist extraordinaire, will guide us through two essential steps to get the moisture and thermal portions of the enclosure right. By the end of this session, you, too, will have the skills and strategies to lead:
(1) an enclosure preconstruction meeting bringing together everyone involved with moisture and thermal protection. The meeting covers the materials, details, sequence, constructability, condensation potential, who installs them, and what products will be used. Unresolved issues, responsible parties, and next steps have been identified.
(2) on-site conferences to address those locations and conditions not covered in the drawings but likely to result in air or rain leaks or condensation. Everyone involved lays eyes on the baffling situation and figures out how to address it, resulting in sketches, emails, RFIs, ASIs, mockups and more.
