Position Summary
Earthshare Construction LLC is seeking an Experienced Carpenter to be an integral part of its growing field crew.  Our Carpenters are instrumental in advancing Earthshare’s mission to offer best practices in sustainable building and design.  Primary responsibilities include: framing, air sealing, and installation of doors and windows, stairs, interior and exterior trim, siding, flooring, and cabinets … with an eagerness to learn more.  The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of residential construction experience and have the ability to work independently and as a member of the team, receive instructions from a lead carpenter, suggest improvements when appropriate, and pass along skilled knowledge to apprentices.  This position requires strong critical thinking skills and the ability to conceptualize a task from start to finish.

Desired Skills and Competencies
 - solid knowledge of basic carpentry, building materials, and installation/repairs
 - ability to comfortably and safely operate the full complement of carpentry tools
 - supports the Lead Carpenter in maintaining a clean and well-organized jobsite, and in ensuring personal, jobsite, and crew safety at all times
 - capacity to manage the flow of labor and materials in a busy job setting
 - ability to lift and carry 50 lbs
 - ensures that projects meet the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction
 - takes responsibility for completing all installation, repair, punch list, and job close-out tasks
 - shows ongoing interest in continuing education and development
 - valid driver’s license with willingness and ability to drive to sites within 30-60 minutes of our office and shop in Lebanon, NH.
 - a strong work ethic, attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, a positive attitude, and aptitude for both independent and team-oriented work

Ideal Experience
The ideal candidate would be an individual with 3+ years of residential carpentry experience and knowledge of building science.  The candidate would be interested in living and working in the Upper Valley area for an extended period.  We value diversity and inclusion, and welcome applications from anyone and everyone as long as they have the prerequisite carpentry and/or trades experience.

Schedule, Wage, and Advancement
An Experienced Carpenter is expected to work a minimum of 35-40 hours per week during the business hours of 7:00am–4:30pm on weekdays.
