The NESEA community mourns the passing of Doug Holmes on December 27, 2016. Doug was a NESEA Lifetime Member and lifelong learner. Doug worked for Polaroid for many years as a chemical engineer. In the second chapter of his professional life, he founded Minergy Associates, and worked as an independent consultant on a variety of renewable energy projects including hydrogen fuel cells, lithium batteries and solar photovoltaic products.

The NESEA community mourns the passing of Edmund Hazzard on March 16, 2016. Edmund was a long time NESEA Member. He served on the Grafton Historic Commission, Energy Committee, and the Hassanamesit Woods Committee.
The NESEA community mourns the passing of Marilyn Strong on June 23, 2015. Marilyn was a NESEA Lifetime Member and was honored in 2016 with the NESEA Shining Star award. She was a nurse, healer, environmentalist, and vice-president of Solar Design Associates in Harvard, MA.
The NESEA community mourns the passing of Kate Goldstein on June 22, 2014. Kate was a NESEA Board and Lifetime Member and a 2015 recipient of the NESEA Distinguished Service Award. Kate passed away in India at the age of 28. She was a Building Technology PhD student at MIT.
The NESEA community mourns the passing of Susan Hazard on October 30, 2012. Susan was a NESEA Lifetime Member.
The NESEA community mourns the passing of Robert Smith on November 20, 2012. Robert received the NESEA Distinguished Service Award in 2006.
