This is an in-person, one-day builder training. Retrofits can present a number of complex and evolving challenges such as significant financial investments, complexity of and access to the building structure, and its overall disruptiveness to using the home. With an upfront understanding of the building and knowing a variety of practical approaches, meeting a fast track or long term phased approach to your retrofit goals can be achieved.

passivhausMAINE has long encouraged builders, architects and engineers to look at their practices through a new lens. This training will also actively reach out to non-traditional construction and design workers, encouraging women, LGBTQ+ and racial minorities to participate in an effort to broaden the diversity on building sites and expand recruitment numbers at a time when we need all the workers we can get.
